Mo te Turanga | About the role :

As a Dealer within Global Markets, you will act as the key link between our Markets team and ASB's Business, Private Banking, Premium, Retail, and ASB Securities clients. Every day, you will :

Represent Global Markets to existing and prospective clients across the bank.

Provide specialist product and service support to internal teams and customers.

Identify and grow new business opportunities for Global Markets.

Deliver accurate and timely FX and interest rate pricing to internal partners.

Ensure all activity adheres to business unit operating procedures and risk frameworks.

Understand client needs and recommend suitable FX solutions.

This is a highly visible role where professionalism, maturity, and service excellence reflect directly on ASB.

What you'll be responsible for :

In this role, you'll contribute directly to ASB's success by :

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with ASB Group partners and high-value clients.

Providing consistent, accurate foreign exchange and interest rate pricing to Branches, Private Banking, Business Banking, Global Payments and ASB Securities.

Building and strengthening client relationships across Business and Private Banking portfolios.

Monitoring and enhancing operational processes for efficiency and client experience.

Managing and minimising credit and operational risk.

Establishing networks to generate quality referrals.

Educating clients on FX products to support confident and informed decision-making.

You're someone who is curious, analytical, commercially minded and strives to deliver exceptional service. You'll also have :

Strong numeracy skills, exceptional accuracy, and a high attention to detail.

Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective price negotiation and relationship building.

A service-driven mindset and ability to identify business opportunities within Global Markets.

A professional, self-motivated approach and ability to perform under pressure.

Ability to interpret client needs and match them with suitable product solutions.

Solid understanding of financial markets products and services (preferred).

Experience in customer service or within ASB's International or Branch network.

Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

NZFMA Core and FX modules completed prior to start date.

Mandarin and Cantonese language skills (advantageous).
