Job descriptionAbout the Role : As Senior Advisor, Policy, you'll be at the forefront of strategic policy work. Regulatory management and strategic coordination Stewardship across the public sector Regulatory impact analysis Second-opinion advice on major regulatory proposalsYou'll work on complex, cross-cutting issues, support agencies in their stewardship responsibilities, and contribute to projects that span the Ministry. What you'll bring : 5+ years' experience in public policy, ideally with a focus on regulatory policy and systems A tertiary qualification (or equivalent government experience), with a background in public policy, law or economics a plus Strong understanding of government processes, policy frameworks, and the machinery of government Excellent communication skills with the ability to distil complex ideas and influence effectively Proven ability to lead work independently and support others in a team setting The ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders Strategic thinking and political acumen A genuine commitment to improving regulation for all New Zealanders.
