Responsibilities :

• Safely operate Class 5 vehicles, including heavy ridged trucks, truck and trailer units, semi-trailers, ‘B’ trains (two semi-trailers), ‘A’ trains (one semi-trailer with a full trailer behind)
• Transport goods to designated locations within specified timeframes, adhering to delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicles are in safe working condition.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks and documentation, including trip sheets, delivery dockets, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Comply with all relevant New Zealand transport regulations, including driving hours and load limits.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring secure and safe handling.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle.
• Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements and Skills :

The successful applicants will also have the opportunity to work in different locations (Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago and Southland), providing a unique chance to explore New Zealand's diverse regions.

This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is between NZ$30 and NZ$35, depending on experience. The work hours are from 30 hours minimum to 70 hours maximum per week, and they are to be worked between Monday and Friday between 7 am and 7 pm. They may be required to work on weekends.
