Roofer

We require permanent, full-time, Roofers to join our growing team in Auckland .

As Roofer you will undertake a range of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs. This is a physically demanding job that requires working outdoors at h e ights and in all weather conditions.

Y our day-to-day responsibilities will include :

• Interpret job plans and worksite details to assess roofing material requirements and plan tasks accordingly
• Set up scaffolding, safety rails, and ladders to enable safe access to roofing areas
• Install waterproofing materials along roof edges and other vulnerable areas to prevent leaks
• Lay underlay across roof structures, securing it with nails, staples, or other fasteners
• Align and secure the first rows of tiles, shingles, or sheets with the roof’s perimeter and build up successive rows with proper overlap
• Trim roofing components to fit around chimneys, vents, skylights, and structural intersections
• Position tiles and other materials beneath flashing and fix them in place
• Apply mortar to secure ridge and edge tiles for stability and weatherproofing
• Inspect installed sections for potential water ingress points and seal exposed fixings as needed
• Monitor worksite conditions and ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and best practice roofing methods.

Requirements :

Pay rate :

$ 30 to $35 per hour depending on experience.

Hours :

As this is a full-time position, you will be guaranteed a minimum 3 0 hours per week but will likely be required to work approximately 4 0 to 50 hours per week .
