The Role
Reporting to Group Manager of Infrastructure, Planning and Regulatory, you will oversee a seven direct reports, delivering a wide range of regulatory services.
Your role will involve :
Leading, mentoring, and supporting your team
Overseeing compliance with building, food, alcohol, and dog control legislation
Managing bylaws, enforcement, and contracted services
Driving continuous improvement and customer-focused outcomes
Managing budgets and reporting to senior leadership
About You
You'll be a confident and capable leader with :
Strong leadership and staff development experience
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Building, Food, Health, Alcohol, Dog Control)
Excellent communication and relationship skills
Experience in compliance, enforcement, and budget management
A proactive, resilient, and customer-focused mindset
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Environmental Health or Reg 18) are desirable but not essential.
