About the Role | Mō te tūranga

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated MRI Technologist to join our welcoming team based in the Tauranga region.

Our department features a cutting-edge fleet of scanners, including Siemens and GE. We perform a diverse range of MRI examinations within a private practice imaging environment. These include neuro, breast, MSK as well as some acute imaging.

A day in the life of this role could look like :

  • Performing MRI imaging using safe practice techniques and the agreed MRI imaging protocols
  • Completing MRI analysis in accordance with established standards
  • Ensuring effective booking systems and maximising the number of available appointments within the available resources
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained, and notifying the Charge MRI of any equipment breakages, breakdowns or malfunctions

    Ideally, you will be an MRI technologist, registered with the New Zealand MRTB, and hold a current MRI practicing certificate. You’ll also bring experience in the following :

  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and patient-focused service.
  • A desire to work with a professional and friendly team using the latest MRI technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, a strong patient focus and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to undertake MRI examinations to a high standard with strong technical knowledge and practices.
  • A motivated professional, who thrives on providing quality healthcare and is focused on continuing professional development.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment, including supporting students within the MRI department.
  • What We’re Looking For | Mōu ake

  • Registered with the New Zealand MRTB and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate in MRI
  • Experience in MRI, with strong knowledge of MRI safety and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites and shifts as needed
