Overview
A Session Facilitator assists parents / caregivers and whānau on sessions to ensure they run smoothly, supports parents in their role as kaiako, and ensures children’s needs are met. The facilitator role models Playcentre philosophy and current practices, fosters a whanau‑led culture, supports emerging leadership, and helps parents gain the skills and tools to run sessions confidently.
Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Session Facilitator to join our well‑resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community. The facilitator will work alongside members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child‑led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning, and positively support the Playcentre education programme. The role requires leadership that encourages others to thrive and models Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whānau to gain confidence.
Position description
Start date : As soon as possible.
Days & hours : 3–4 hours of morning shifts, 1‑5 days each week during school term time. This is a permanent position.
