Cognos Report Writer - Contractor

United Industries Ltd is in the midst of a transformative ERP implementation across our Metalcraft Roofing group of companies.

We're seeking a skilled Contractor Report Writer to join our project team and help design, build, and refine business-critical reports that support operations, finance, inventory, and sales.

Metalcraft Roofing specializes in the manufacturing and installation of metal long-run roofing, cladding, insulated panels, metal tiles, structural flooring and rainwater systems.

The company offers an extensive range of products and is committed to customer satisfaction.

Role Overview

As a Cognos Report Writer, you'll work closely with our ERP project team, business analysts, and department leads to design and deliver reports that provide actionable insights across finance, operations, inventory, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and analyze reporting requirements from stakeholders

Design, develop, and deploy reports using IBM Cognos Analytics

Ensure reports are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with business goals

Document report logic and provide handover materials for internal teams

Support testing, troubleshooting, and refinement of reports during rollout

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills

Proven experience with IBM Cognos Report Studio and Framework Manager

Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases

Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable reports

Experience in manufacturing, construction, or roofing industries is a plus

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is beneficial
