This includes our mandate to promote Maori achievement in education, training, health and economic resource development along with performing our monitoring and mentoring roles.
Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity The Monitoring and Evaluation team has responsibility for the monitoring work programme at Te Puni Kokiri in its legislated role to monitor and liaise with public service agencies to ensure the adequacy of services provided to Maori.
The team also plays a part in providing evaluative expertise to ensure that policies and programmes to support Maori are achieving their objectives.
The team works collaboratively across Te Puni Kokiri, and with external agencies, to provide evidence-informed insights, which allow us to better understand where we can influence system level change.
The Principal Analyst will lead a range of projects across the Monitoring and Evaluation work programme.
They will work collaboratively with kaimahi within the team and stakeholders within Te Puni Kokiri and across government.
Through their work, they will ensure Te Puni Kokiri is positioned to influence system change to improve outcomes for Maori.
This will be your opportunity as a Principal Analyst to support the team during a busy period finalising the monitoring & mentoring arrangements which leads to operationalising the approach in 25 / 26 FY.
The likely appointment range is $123,009 (90%) - $136,676 (100%).
The full salary range for the role is $123,009- $164,012 (120%) Ko wai koe | About you
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in using qualitative and quantitative data & information and providing work programme direction.
You'll have : Good working knowledge in research, monitoring and outcome measurement methodologies focusing on the strategic policy work stream and in using evidence to support policy and programme development.Your thought leadership capability and the strategic policy advice supports the team as we build the arrangements for monitoring the adequacy of public sector service delivery to and for MaoriYou will mentor junior kaimahi, build and foster strong relationships in the system to ensure our strengthened approach to monitoring and mentoring is fit for purpose.You're a people person, able to hold workshops and deliver to user requirements.Experience working in hybrid agile environments is a plus.
This is also a unique opportunity to work with Maori data and supporting internal and external thinking on how to apply appropriate data management approaches.
