System Integration Engineer

The Role

We’re looking for a System Integration Engineer who loves sitting at the crossroads of cloud and embedded systems. You’ll explore, prototype, and ultimately integrate third‑party energy hardware and APIs –everything from EV chargers to batteries –into our platform. This is a role for someone who gets energised by figuring things out, especially when the blueprint is still being defined.

Some of the things that you might be involved in include :

• Rapidly integrating third-party energy devices (EV chargers, solar inverters, batteries, and more) by building and validating early API connections
• Creating proof‑of‑concept backend services and prototypes to demonstrate new capabilities and uncover technical constraints
• Investigating device quirks, connection challenges, and vendor docs to make hardware come alive in our ecosystem
• Turning successful prototypes into production‑ready, scalable integrations built on modern cloud infrastructure
• Collaborating with senior engineers to develop reliable services with strong observability, CI / CD, and operational resilience
• Maintaining and supporting the integrations you’ve built to keep them healthy and high‑performing in the field
• Producing clear documentation to support long‑term ownership, knowledge‑sharing, and ongoing maintenance
