The successful candidate will : Inspire and engage tamariki in a positive, inclusive classroom environmentDeliver a broad, balanced curriculum with strong literacy and numeracy foundationsImplement Better Start Structured Literacy (all staff trained; training provided if required)Use assessment and data to inform teaching and track progressIntegrate te reo Maori and tikanga Maori naturally in programmesBuild strong relationships with students, colleagues, whanau, and the community.Holds full NZ teacher registration and a current practising certificateDemonstrates strong pedagogical knowledge, particularly in structured literacy and numeracyHas an inclusive, learner-focused approach and values equitable outcomesEnjoys rural community life and collaborative teamwork.Supportive staff culture, professional development opportunities, strong community connections, and a school that celebrates success, individuality, and joy in learning.Note : Successful applicants must comply with the Children's Act
