The ability to teach senior NCEA physical education is essential.

The successful applicant will teach across Y7–12, with opportunities to contribute to the development of new senior courses as our school expands to Y13 in 2027.This role also carries responsibility for sports coordination , including organising and leading : Sports teams and inter-school eventsThe physical recreation component of the Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award.At Hare Krishna School, health and physical education supports the holistic development of mind, body, and spirit.

We are seeking a teacher who can inspire learners to reach their personal best, both in and outside the classroom, while making a positive contribution to our close-knit team.Applicants must : Be NZ registered teachers (or eligible for registration)Be conversant with the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEADemonstrate a commitment to supporting our school values with integrity of characterHold NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (overseas applicants must already have the legal documentation to reside and work in New Zealand).

The terms, conditions and base salary are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement (STCA, 2022–2025).

Actual salary will be confirmed through a salary assessment by Education Payroll once the appointment is made.
