Te Puni Kokiri leads policy advice to the Government on Maori development, and Iwi and Maori relations with the Crown.
To do this effectively we must position ourselves to elevate our monitoring and mentoring responsibilities and emphasise our role in holding other agencies to account for delivery of public services to, for and with Maori.

You'll work across multiple channels, from internal communications, like panui (newsletters), to supporting the media desk and managing digital platforms.
Te whai wahitanga | The opportunity
Get hands-on experience with internal and external comms, writing, editing, brand and channel management.
Help shape communications that matter for our community and support outcomes for Maori.
Work alongside Senior and Principal Advisors, gaining exposure to strategic projects.
You'll be responsible for :
Writing and proofreading content for internal channels and panui (newsletters)
Managing SharePoint other digital platforms.
Supporting media desk activities and social media engagement.
Working with design tools and website content management
Supporting teams with their communication needs by providing strategic comms advice.
The likely appointment range is $76,213 - $84,680, based on skills and experience.
The full grade for this role is $76,213 - $101,616 (120%) with a mid-point of $84,680.

You will have :
Strong writing and editing skills.
Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and channel management.
Understanding of social media and digital engagement.
Familiarity with design tools and website management are advantageous
Interest in Te Ao Maori and commitment to working in ways that support Maori outcomes.
A basic understanding of te Reo Maori me nga tikanga
