OverviewGreymouth - West Coast - Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)Permanent full timeHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the roleWe are looking for a Case Manager with a Nursing or Allied Health background, who has the clinical skills required to assist people with current or ongoing mental health problems and to maintain their place in the community.

This role will be working within the community and within our integrated model of care.Our CAMHS team is currently looking for skilled and passionate mental health professionals.

The new role is vital to the mental health of our children and young people across the West Coast as you will be supporting them through their journey along with their whanau.

This role will be working within the community alongside our NGO partner Poutini Waiora and within our integrated model of care.

There will be opportunities and support for professional development and ongoing role development.

Undertaking all components of case management, including : comprehensive assessment, risk assessment and management, recovery, and treatment planning Providing client-centred care, utilising evidence-based treatment strategies including, where appropriate, talking therapies Working Monday to FridayAbout YouNZ Registered Health professional as a Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Physiotherapist.Excellent communication and relationship building skills, this is a developing role with the opportunity to develop and enhance the service provision and personal practice.Passion for child & youth mental healthFlexibility to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary teamUnderstanding and application of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi, with a culturally safe and appropriate approach to practiceCommitment to ongoing professional developmentA strong understanding of Maori health inequity and Maori population needUnderstanding of contemporary approaches to mental health and wellbeingClean and full driver's licence as you will be traveling in DHB cars, this role encompasses the whole of the West Coast Karamea to Haast.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
