Overview

Playcentre Aotearoa are looking for someone with top notch communication skills and a flair for organization.

We're on the hunt for a Regional Support Lead to join our team and support a network of Playcentres to provide quality ECE services.

The RSL is responsible for managing a team of Centre Advisors, as well as managing employment and providing advice and guidance to ensure centres are thriving.

This is an exciting role with varied tasks on a day-to-day basis!

The Regional Support Lead monitors the health of our centres, works with Centre Advisors to encourage growth at centre level, is the link between ERO & MoE and centres, collaborates with HR to manage employee relations, and is generally the go-to person for centre-related matters.

Days and Hours

This is a permanent full-time position for up to 37.5 hours per week.

The role is ideally based at the Regional Office; however locations within the Lower North Island will be considered (Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa and Wellington Region).

Occasional travel and remote work may be required.

Desired Skills and Experience

Excellent relationship management skills – proven ability to interact effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholders.

Experience and confidence when working with Microsoft Office suite, as well as SMS, namely Discover.

An understanding of te ao Maori, including an appreciation of matauranga Maori, tikanga Maori and te reo Maori.

A related Tertiary qualification is preferred.

Knowledge of ECE legislation and licensing requirements and experience in an ECE / Playcentre is essential.

Proactive mindset and a good sense of humour.

Flexibility to travel and work remotely as required from time to time.

Accuracy and attention to detail as well as the ability to see the whole picture.

Flexibility and the ability to deal with issues as they arise.

Sound judgement, a great work ethic and ability to work independently.
