Reporting to the General Manager – Roading, the role of Roading National Operations Manager is a newly created position for a strategic and hands‑on leader who can bring operational excellence, commercial insight, and people‑focused leadership to our Roading Division, a national team with over 550 people building and maintaining infrastructure that supports our communities.

What You’ll Do

Lead large scale operational performance across our Roading portfolio, including maintenance, surfacing, traffic management, and quarrying.
Drive financial results, resource planning, and plant management across multiple business units.
Provide governance and oversight for key contracts to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to HEB’s high standards.
Champion health, safety, and wellbeing as a visible and proactive leader.
Build and grow capability through mentoring our people, shaping future leaders, and fostering collaboration across teams.
Lead change initiatives that bring innovation and consistency across the division.

What You’ll Bring

Demonstrated ability in managing civil infrastructure delivery and leading high performing, multi‑disciplined teams.

Strong technical understanding of roading, maintenance, and surfacing.

Commercial acumen and an ability to align operational decisions with business goals.

Proven ability to manage plant and equipment planning at a strategic level.
