Job description
Work Experience : Minimum two years of relevant work experience. Willing to work on weekends and Public holidays (Working days will be between Monday and Sunday)
Overseeing kitchen operations to ensure they run smoothly
Daily raw food preparation and seasoning
Must cook Indian Curry and Tandoori dishes
Monitoring the quality of dishes from basic preparation through to service to customers.
Portioning and plating the food to ensure a great presentation to customers
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs
Ordering food requirements as per the menu
Conducting stock takes and reporting to the restaurant manager
Handling customer complaints and discussing them with staff
Selecting, supervising, and training kitchen staff, advising them on cooking procedures.
Ability to cater to any special dietary food requirements
Must be able to use temperature-controlled equipment
Ensure kitchen waste is kept to a minimum
Ensuring personal hygiene and maintaining high standards of health and safety
Reporting to work on time and reporting to the manager at the end of the shift
Cleaning kitchen work stations before and end of the shift
