  • Case Managers provide specialist, end to end case management with prisoners including initial assessment, identification of prisoner needs, case planning and preparing prisoners for release.Using a range of services and techniques, they work with external agencies and the prisoners' Whānau to support prisoners as they rehabilitate.With a natural style to work collaboratively, and top-notch relationship management skills, you will be someone who recognises the importance of the work Ara Poutama does. As we enter a new and exciting era with Hokai Rangi, you will bring new ways of thinking to what is already a complex, dynamic and fast paced environment.

  • We are looking for candidates with :
  • Knowledge and experience working with Māori and Pacific Peoples and their whanau and communities.
  • Rehabilitation and reintegration related disciplines and practices.
  • Effective relationship management and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate and support prisoners to make positive changes.
  • Experience and knowledge in Māori Language and cultural protocols and processes within Māori Communities, and of Māori Community structures and dynamics.
  • Full, clean NZ Drivers Licence.
