About the role
We\'re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Group Services Finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial insights that drive business success.
A key component of this role will be to partner with our Information & Communication Technology (ICT) team.
You\'ll work closely with ICT stakeholders bringing financial expertise to support forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis - a critical role in enabling informed decision-making across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and delivery monthly variance analysis and commentary to support performance reviews
Manage ICT asset registers and depreciation schedules
Partner with ICT leadership to align financial planning with business strategy, including the delivery of budgeting and forecasting for ICT
Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Design, develop and implement new processes, procedures and reports to ensure processes meet financial standards, and business needs
Support preparation of NZ financial management reporting and external audits, including support for the payment service function and compliance with tax regulations and financial standards
Skills & Experience
3-7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
CA qualified or equivalent.
Strong technical accounting skills
Proficient in SAP, Excel, and Power BI.
Excellent communication skills and ability to self-manage
Experience in financial planning and business partnering
A stable, reliable team player with a strong technical focus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to challenge assumptions and influence strategic decisions
