  • Health NZ Te Whatu Ora Whanganui Hospital is looking to recruit experienced and flexible administrators for the administration resource (casual) pool. This position will offer an exciting variety of administration work within all clinical services of the hospital from wards, theatre, outpatients, emergency dept, mental health, records, community and rural services. The work will include reception, telephonist work, appointment bookings, and other administration work.

  • Our ideal candidate will support and grow our administration service. You will have a positive outlook and an eagerness for learning new roles and process and taking your fellow colleagues along on the journey.You will be able to comfortably demonstrate :
  • courteous and friendly people who have outstanding customer service skills working with patients, families, visitors and hospital staff;
  • competent experience in computer literacy including MS Word and Teams (experience in WebPAS and Clinical Portal is desirable)
  • flexibility is critical as is a willingness to learn and to take instructions;
  • an ability to manage and prioritise your work along with an exceptional level of accuracy;
  • work in a team, as well as support all team members; and able to work in isolation.
  • an understanding of how the health system works is desirable, with experience working in a demanding areaMost of the roles are Mon to Fri 08 : 00am to 16 : 30pm, however there can be times when we require staff to work shifts after 16 : 30 and weekends.If you have the above (or believe you can develop the above) and are looking for a great opportunity to provide an employer with your high work ethic we are interested in hearing from you.
