Positions Available
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team in the following positions : Production Technician, Associate Production Scientist.
About the Roles
This position supports multiple operational areas, including Production, Quality, and Supply Chain. Duties rotate across departments, providing a varied and engaging workload and excellent learning opportunities. This role reports to the Quality Manager and is on-site 40 hours per week.
Associate Production Scientist
The primary responsibility of this role is the production of high-quality immunological reagents using chromatography techniques, maintaining quality production output, and continuous process improvement. This role reports to the Production Workstream Leaders and is on-site 40 hour per week.
General Production & Laboratory Support
- Processing of raw materials.
- Preparation of production buffers and communal laboratory buffers.
- Meeting key metrics, and objectives.
- Maintaining accurate laboratory records, results, and documentation.
- Ensuring all work is completed according to SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Reviewing and checking laboratory records and results for accuracy and compliance.
- Use, calibration, and routine maintenance of laboratory and facility equipment.
Quality & Documentation
Supporting Quality Assurance activities and administrative tasks.Assisting with document control and maintaining the existing Quality Management System.Supply Chain & Logistics
Transferring final product to vials and preparing materials for export.Inspection, processing, and documentation of inwards goods.Assisting with storage, packaging, and shipping of finished products.Key Responsibilities – Associate Production Scientist
Processing of raw materials.Production of antigens including protein extraction and purification, chromatography from analytical to processing scale.Meeting key metrics and objectives and the agreed Production Schedule in products manufactured, yield and quality of products as required to meet customer demand.Performing biochemistry techniques, such as SDS PAGE, Western blotting, spectrophotometric analysis, protein concentration assays, protein chromatography, ELISA.Maintaining accurate laboratory records, results & documentation.Ensure all work is conducted following SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.Use and calibration / maintenance of technical equipment in line with standard operating procedures.About You
We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced laboratory technicians / production scientists or those with a strong manufacturing background. Ideally, you will bring :
A qualification or background in manufacturing, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.Protein purification and assay experience during degree courses / previous roles an advantage for Associate Production Scientist role.Competency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team.Ability to work a 40-hour week.Legal right to work and remain in New Zealand.How to Apply
