Job Description :

Our growth over the past few years has been immense, and we’re on the hunt for someone with leadership qualities for our Refurbishment Department.

Our Life Fitness Refurbishment Department takes secondhand fitness equipment and gives it a second life. We strip, replace, repaint and rebuild to create a near-new piece of equipment. Due to high demand, we are looking to grow and expand this specialist department and are recruiting for a Refurb Technician. This role will be a mix of mechanical and electrical work and is a very hands-on and rewarding role. This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week.

As part of our Refurbishment Team you will do;

  • Dissemble equipment in preparation for refurbishment
  • Circuit boards strip down and testing
  • Repairing / maintenance of electronic circuit boards
  • Replacement of parts and key components as required
  • Reassemble electronic circuits / equipment, test operating and make any changes as required
  • Console testing
  • Sanding, welding and wiring
  • Spray painting in our purpose-built spray booth
  • Ensuring that all quality control checks have been completed thoroughly and accurately according to company procedures and standards
  • Completing all refurbishments to the highest standards at all times

Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude required
  • Experience with spray painting would be advantageous
  • Initiative and drive to get on with a job
  • Friendly and professional manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be relatively fit as there is heavy lifting involved
  • The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of relevant experience OR a relevant level 4 or higher education. You’ll join a group of like-minded individuals who have a passion for the brands we work
