Job description

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team on a contract basis until June 2026. This role is crucial for managing and optimising the data pipelines, ensuring the smooth flow and integrity of data across the systems.

Responsibilities

Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and feeds.
Implementing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
Working closely with data scientists and engineers to deploy and manage data-related services.
Automating and optimising data workflows and operational processes.
Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline performance and reliability.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience in data engineering and DevOps, specifically within a multi-cloud environment.

Expertise in building and managing data feeds and ETL / ELT processes across different cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or similar, with a focus on cross-platform deployments.

Strong Python skills are essential for this role, particularly in data manipulation and scripting.

Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their orchestration in various cloud settings.

A solid understanding of cloud-agnostic tools and methodologies that ensure consistency and reliability regardless of the underlying cloud provider.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
