Branch Supervisor – Traffic Control (Whangarei)

T8 Group is seeking a Branch Supervisor to lead our Traffic Control division in Whangarei.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality traffic management services across Northland.What You'll Be Doing

Overseeing daily traffic control operations across Whangarei and surrounding areas.

Leading and mentoring STMSs, TCs, and TMWs to ensure compliance with TMPs and health & safety standards.

Conducting regular site audits, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.

Collaborating with the Branch Manager to meet operational targets and drive continuous improvement.

Managing resource allocation, workflows, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

What We're Looking For

Essential :

STMS CAT ABC certification (or equivalent).

Current Class 1 driver's licence.

Proven experience in traffic management, construction, or infrastructure.

Strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.

Familiarity with TMP compliance and NZ workplace safety legislation.

Preferred : Class 2 licence.

NZQA Level 3+ qualification in operations, safety, or management.

Experience on Level 1, 2, and 3 roads.

Frontline management training (Level 4).
