Job description

Connexa is New Zealand’s leading mobile tower infrastructure company, driven by a mission to enable a more connected digital future for Aotearoa New Zealand. We do this by designing, building and managing mobile sites across the country for telecommunications providers (like Spark and 2degrees) to expand their coverage efficiently and sustainably. Our tower portfolio of over 2,500 covers Cape Reinga to Bluff and is the largest in New Zealand.

As one of two Customer Relationship Managers at Connexa you will be accountable for delivering and sustaining commercial outcomes for your nominated accounts. You will develop a deep understanding of our customers’ business drivers and success criteria, co-designing and executing sales / business development strategies and growing profitable revenue.

Along with fostering and building strong relationships with our customer you will also be responsible for managing customer data and records, organising meetings and communications, coordinating cross-functional teams, documenting processes, and maintaining customer information. This includes generating reports, account planning and execution to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The role will suit a rising star customer relationship professional who is now looking to supercharge their career in a dynamic and growing company. Ideally you will have a passion for telco but you will most certainly pride yourself on your ability to build and nurture long term sustainable customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Being the voice of Connexa within the customer and the voice of the customer within Connexa
  • Facilitating and attending commercial and strategic governance forums - including collating all metrics, minutes etc
  • Creating relevant solutions to strengthen relationships and drive revenue growth
  • Managing commercial governance, including pricing, site order confirmations, contract negotiations and operational escalations
  • Tracking and monitoring operational and performance metrics
  • Contributing to the development of sales and product strategies – finding alignment and win : win outcomes for Connexa and our customers – and executing against agreed strategies
  • Identifying customer and market trends, opportunities and threats
  • Helping identify new revenue streams, business innovation and marketing opportunities

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have :

  • Prior experience in a sales / account / relationship management role
  • A customer-first attitude, excellent at building and maintaining strong enduring relationships
  • Demonstrable success of delivering to sales targets and identifying new revenue opportunities
  • Strong network within the NZ telco market / industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the market / industry – technology, trends, vendors, competitive landscape etc
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team – proactive and hands on
  • Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic and evolving / growing work environment
  • Fantastic communication skills in all formats
  • A creative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • A recognition and embrace of differences and diversity in the workplace
  • A growth mindset and desire for continuous improvement
