Business Development Manager - Christchurch or Auckland

We’re looking for a talented and ‘hungry’ sales professional to help us keep the good energy flowing. As our Business Development Manager, you’ll play a lead role in identifying and growing sales and business opportunities to drive revenue and margin growth. By identifying and developing strategic business relationships / partnerships and working collaboratively to obtain new customers in the B2B and SME channels, including large C&I customers and Retic, you will contribute significantly to our wider business performance and our aim of making Rockgas the supplier of choice in all channels.

What you’ll bring

• Proven senior level sales / business development experience (8+ years)
• A demonstrated track record of ‘hunger’ for and success at driving and delivering profitable and sustainable new business growth – revenue, margin, customers, brand etc
• Strong business / commercial acumen including an excellent understanding of sales processes and the ability to make decisions based on business data
• Excellent ability to network and build relationships across all facets of our company including industry bodies, appliance manufacturers, decision makers and developers
• Exceptional sales, negotiation, influencing and contract management skills
• A relevant tertiary qualification in business or a commerce field is desirable as is previous sales / business development experience in B2B and / or the energy sector.
