About the opportunity

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Business Services team in Ōtautahi Christchurch. This role plays an important part in our finance team and would be well suited to someone with up to two years’ experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. Key tasks will include (but are not limited to) :

• Processing accounts payable, credit cards, and staff expense claims promptly and accurately.
• Reconciling office account transactions.
• Ensuring all costs are recorded and allocated correctly.
• Maintenance of fixed asset records.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assisting with timely month‑end finance close.
• Supporting the Accountant in running the fortnightly payroll process for the firm.
