We have a fantastic opportunity for enthusiastic and dynamic Indian Tandoor / Curry chef with proven experience in Indian cooking in a commercial kitchen environment.

Also looking for an experienced Restaurant manager to ensure this popular busy restaurant continues to flourish.CHEFS DUTIES

Preparing and cooking food (Curry or Tandoori) as per the restaurant standards

Knowledge of cooking techniques used in Indian cooking and experience of working with tandoor

Assist in planning menus and ordering food supplies

Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness in cooking areas to avoid food contamination

Control food cost and wastage

Order supplies based on food demand and budgets

Train new staff in kitchen areas, delegate tasks related tomeal prep, cooking and delivering food

Generate ideas for new recipes in collaboration with other chefs and the restaurant manager

CHEFS SKILLS / WORK EXPERIENCE

An ideal candidates would have 3 years experience or relavent diploma qualification in cookery.

Hold excellent knowledge of Indian spices.

Familiar with use of tandoor in Indian restaurants.

Must be able to work independently without supervision.

Nature of the role will require weekends work and flexibilityin timings.

Must have a can-do attitude and cope up in busy peak hours.

Able to work effectively under pressure and maintain clean andhygiene kitchen.

Manager responsibilities will include

Overall planning running and management of the business

Plan menus for the business as per the requirements in consultation with chefs

Organising special menu for special function and bookings

Hold functions as per the customer's requirements

Organise marketing activities such as advertising promotional events and so on

Making sure that company policy standards are maintained

Communication with suppliers and negotiate the price

Manage stock level ordering and keep recording updated

Managing wastage and controlling labour costs

Make sure one can manage cash handling process following pre-determined strategies / steps

Handle all the financial and budgeting tasks for the business independently

Make the staff roasters and handle all the communications with staff

Ensure quality control and responsible for running shifts

Maintain the documentation as per the city council regulations

Make sure the business meets the health hygiene and safety regulations

Maintains a clean and aesthetic appearance of the business for the customers

Manager Experience / Qualification / Knowledge

Relevant work experience of 1 year or higher secondary school qualification Willing to secure LCQ qualification and

General Manager Certificate from city council in 3 to 6 months of joining

Business related qualification is an advantage but notessential

Knowledge of hospitality industry is an advantage

Willing to work split shifts (Lunch & Dinner) as required

Busiest days for our business are weekends and essential to beable to work on weekends

Be experienced in performing the tasks independently
