Principal Analyst

We are looking for a professional and motivated Principal Analyst to join the National Service Delivery team, where your expertise in data, research, and strategic thinking will directly influence how justice services are delivered and improved.

Ō Pūkenga / Skills and Experience

• Advanced technical skills in one or more of the following : quantitative analysis and modelling, evaluation, business analysis and process improvement, data engineering, or data visualisation
• Proven experience leading complex analytical programmes and mentoring analysts to build capability
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights for senior stakeholders and Ministers
• Experience using SAS, R, or equivalent statistical software to deliver robust, evidence‑based advice
• A collaborative mindset and ability to engage across diverse teams and justice sector agencies

You will need to manage your time well, handle competing deadlines and changing priorities, and maintain a positive can‑do attitude. You must be willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

Salary

The appointing salary for this role will be between $129,129 and $167,062 based on skills and experience.
