About the Role
We are looking for a GP or Urgent Care qualified doctor to work as a Casual Fast-track doctor in the Childrens Emergency Department.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide acute care to children who present with primary care conditions to the Childrens Emergency Department (CED) in a defined work stream. The aim it to provide more efficient, appropriate care to this category of patients.

About the Team / Service / Location
The Starship Childrens Emergency Department is the only dedicated Emergency Department in New Zealand designed to focus exclusively on the needs of children. The Childrens Emergency Department (CED) is the regional paediatric advanced trauma centre and we specialise in meeting the needs of acutely ill or injured children and young people ranging from birth to 15 years of age. We are supported by the tertiary level medical, surgical, radiology and intensive care services that are provided within Starship Childrens Hospital. CED works within a multidisciplinary framework that includes Maori support workers, Pacific Island support workers, play specialists, social workers and clerical staff who work closely with the nursing and medical teams.
About you
To be successful, you must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
