    An exciting opportunity is opening at Harold Mayo Kindergarten, situated within a vibrant, multicultural community that celebrates diversity and fosters strong connections. With the retirement of two of our long-standing and highly valued kaiako, we are seeking two enthusiastic kaiako to join our warm, community-focused team from mid-January 2026.

    We’re looking for passionate, reflective kaiako who bring energy, heart, and a commitment to high-quality, child-led learning. Whether you’re an experienced kaiako ready for a change or early in your teaching journey, you’ll be joining a supportive kindergarten with a strong sense of belonging, connection, and aroha.

    What you’ll bring :

    • A genuine passion for early learning and tamariki wellbeing
    • Cultural responsiveness and appreciation for diversity and inclusion
    • A positive, can‑do attitude and collaborative spirit
    • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
    • Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to bicultural practice
    • Empathy, humour, patience, and flexibility
    • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice.
    • What you’ll need :

    • A recognised ECE teaching qualification
    • Current teacher registration (or in process)
    • Legal right to work in New Zealand.
