Join to apply for the Communications Advisor role at Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC) .
LIC is a farmer‑owned co‑operative that has been supporting herd improvement in New Zealand’s dairy sector for more than 115 years. We focus on providing superior genetics, reliable testing and diagnostics, integrated on‑farm software, and great customer service, all designed to help farmers make smarter decisions every day.
As a proud generational co‑operative, we’re here for farmers, their families, and rural communities, not just for today, but for the future. Every one of us plays a part in helping New Zealand farmers succeed.
About the Role
As a Communications Advisor at LIC, you’ll play a key role in bringing our communications strategy to life—helping tell the stories that connect our people, farmers, and communities. Working within the Customer Experience team, you’ll support the Communications and Brand Engagement team across internal and external communications, media, and digital channels. From crafting engaging stories and supporting social media engagement to providing shareholder updates and staff communications, you’ll help ensure consistent, high‑quality messaging that reflects LIC’s purpose and values.
About You
You’re a confident communicator who enjoys crafting clear, engaging messages and working collaboratively to bring ideas to life. You’re proactive, organised, and comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. Most of all, you’re passionate about connecting with people and helping a trusted New Zealand co‑operative share its story with farmers and employees alike.
Qualifications
In Return
In addition to a competitive salary, you’ll receive extra leave days, flexible working options, discounted health, life, income and disability insurance, access to our employee shares scheme, wellbeing discounts, free onsite parking, an employee assistance programme, and more. The role is based 10 minutes from Hamilton in a semi‑rural location, offering a lifestyle change for those seeking a better work‑life balance and wanting to escape the cost of living in bigger cities.
