Field Technician

We are looking for a Field Technician to join our Tauranga team. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop or kick‑start their career, as on‑the‑job training is provided. The work will be hands‑on and physical, and therefore requires a reasonable degree of physical capability.

We work on a number of large‑scale infrastructure projects around New Zealand, enjoying a sense of achievement from getting involved in a range of work, and thrive on the learning opportunities provided.

In this role, you will be expected to perform field testing to a high level of accuracy. The nature of the work may require early starts, late finishes and occasional overtime, and often involves working in adverse environmental conditions.

• Geotechnical field‑testing, sampling, investigating, and testing / monitoring of ground material properties.
• Civil laboratory testing.
• Operation of heavy testing and soil sampling equipment.
• Monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation.
• Environmental monitoring.
• Data entry and processing of results.
• Liaising with customers and engineers.
• Performing all work in accordance with our IANZ accreditation and project management system.
• The field technician will play a pivotal role in our business through project management and customer engagement.
