Academic Staff Member - Nursing

OverviewWITT | Te Pukenga invites applications from experienced and passionate registered nurses to join our teaching team in New Plymouth, Taranaki.

The role will contribute to the delivery of high-quality nursing education, support the professional development of students, and help shape the future of the nursing profession.We have two opportunities available to start mid January

• 1 x full-time position (36 hours per week)
• 1 x part-time position (28.8 hours per week)The positions are suitable for RNs who enjoy the teaching aspects of the role, are effective and collaborative team members, and are looking to enter the education sector.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver engaging, up-to-date nursing curriculum.Provide exceptional academic support and guidance to nursing students.Contribute to the ongoing review and improvement of nursing programmes.Engage in research to enhance nursing education.Participate in the broader academic community through committees and working groups.Maintain strong industry connections to ensure curriculum relevance.What we're looking forRegistered Nurse with a current practising certificate.Postgraduate qualification in nursing or a related field.Experience in nursing education or a clinical teaching role.Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging and effective nursing education.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to ongoing professional development.What we offerAt WITT | Te Pukenga, we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that allows you to thrive.
