Overview

Southpac Trucks Ltd imports DAF and Kenworth trucks manufactured by PACCAR in the Netherlands and Australia. We also support a variety of TRP truck and trailer parts via the TRP Parts and Service Dealer Network to enable the highest operating uptime at the lowest possible cost.

We operate from eight locations : Manukau City, Hamilton, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Christchurch and Timaru. We are growing and are looking for heavy diesel mechanics to join our Hamilton team.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on heavy diesel machinery.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work and repairs completed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and in compliance with industry best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • If you have a relevant level 4 qualification OR no less than three years’ experience repairing and maintaining heavy vehicles. The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • A proven ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
