Last year, we helped over 300 million people access information about the currencies that matter to them and over 225,000 people used us to send money overseas.About This RoleXe is seeking an Intermediate Test Engineer to join our team on a fixed term contract to provide maternity leave cover.This role offers an exciting opportunity with a focus on test automation, primarily for APIs, with some involvement in front-end automation.
However, automation is just one aspect—your work will also include manual testing, defect management, and documentation to support product quality.We're looking for a self-motivated, proactive individual who values clear communication and collaboration to achieve success.Roles & ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive testing across APIs, web applications, Windows clients, and mobile platformsDevelop and maintain automated tests for C# and JavaScript applicationsEstablish and maintain strong relationships, ensuring clear and effective communication at all levelsIdentify, document, and track defects through to resolutionEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulations while maintaining best practicesApply best practices and processes in quality assurance within your team and across our global teamsPosition RequirementsTo excel in this role, you should have : Recent experience scripting in a programming language (e.g. JavaScript, C#)Experience with automated testing frameworksExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearlyAPI testing expertise, with hands-on experience using API testing tools (e.g. Postman)Proficiency in source control systems (e.g. Git) and experience working with build pipelinesStrong systems analysis and troubleshooting skillsA collaborative mindset for diagnosing and resolving testing challengesExperience working in an Agile environment, with a commitment to continuous improvementEffective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks efficientlyThorough understanding of functional and non-functional testing principlesDesirable Experience & SkillsCompetence in SQL query writing and understanding relational databasesFamiliarity with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Exposure to performance testingHands-on experience in a .
