Job Description — Te Tūranga

About the Role : Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership career? We’re looking for a Group Leader to oversee operations in our Dry Stores department at Pareora. This is a pivotal role where you’ll manage your team while interacting with multiple departments across the site, ensuring effective and efficient production stores purchasing and consumption control, including receipting, storing and issuing and associated inventory control.

You’ll balance operational performance with people development—coaching, mentoring, and supporting your team to succeed. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and have a passion for continuous improvement, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

Te Mahi / Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop your team to achieve departmental goals and maintain compliance.
• Plan weekly and daily work requirements in collaboration with the various departments across the site.
• Manage stores in line with weekly production requirements and ensure consumption and inventory control.
• Build an uncompromising safety culture and champion continuous improvement.
• Ensure food safety and quality and compliance standards are met across all operations.

Ōu Pūkenga / About You

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in warehousing operations who can help us maintain excellence. Experience with dry stores practices in the food processing industry is a bonus, but not essential. If you also have knowledge of export meat processing operations, that’s a big plus!
