Civil Operator – ChristchurchWe're looking for a skilled civil operator to join a hard-working crew on a range of infrastructure projects across North Christchurch.

You'll be operating a variety of machines on trenching, drainage, and pipeline installs — with the chance to work on long-term projects in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

If you're experienced, motivated, and ready to get on site, we want to hear from you.Location : North ChristchurchStart date : Immediate start availablePay rate : $30–35 per hour (paid weekly)What you'll be doing : Operating civil machinery including excavators, rollers, loaders, and pumpsCompleting trenching, dewatering, drainage, and pipeline installationAssisting with ground prep, backfilling, and site compactionConducting daily pre-start checks and general equipment upkeepWorking from site plans and supporting project supervisorsMaintaining a clean, productive, and safe worksiteWhat you'll need : Solid machine operating experience (excavators, loaders, rollers)Minimum Class 2 licence — Class 4 / 5 and tipper experience a plusProven drainage and trenching skills, including dewatering and pipe layingAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testReady to start right awayWhat's on offer : Excellent pay : $30–35 per hour depending on experience (paid weekly)Consistent hours : Monday to Friday, 7am–5pmOngoing work potential for reliable performersWell-maintained gear and variety in your dayFull PPE supplied free by the Tradestaff Christchurch teamAbout TradestaffWe're a recruitment agency that's proudly Kiwi-owned and operated, with a strong presence in the Christchurch market.
