ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator / Admin Support to join our Christchurch locations across two sites in Bromley.
You will be required to support and enhance a culture of safety, health, and wellbeing across the organisation by implementing effective systems, programs, and practices that prevent injury and illness, promote mental and physical wellbeing, and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator will work collaboratively with stakeholders to foster an environment where employee welfare is prioritised, risks are proactively managed, and continuous improvement is driven through education, engagement, and evidence-based practices.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES INCLUDE :
- Coordinate, and review health and safety audits, inspections, and corrective actions in consultation with committee members and relevant workers.
- Coordinate and maintain site health and safety training, inductions, records, and communications, while staying updated on relevant legislation and ensuring proper documentation and sharing of information.
- Coordinate return-to-work processes for injured workers by liaising with all relevant parties, ensuring suitable duties are identified, and maintaining required records in line with local and Scott procedures.
- Maintaining visitor and contractor inductions and insurance compliance via vistab.
- Coordinate processing of safety conversations, site inspections and safety awards.
- Maintaining staff records and visual communication on First aiders and emergency / fire wardens.
- General office duties such as but not limited to :
General administration tasks and maintain stationary supplies across the operation.
Staff records and notice boards.Document minutes at project and management meetings.Support the organisation in the execution of office culture activities such as social activities, staff events and team building exercises.TO BE A GREAT MATCH FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing or similar role.Workplace Health & Safety Level 3 qualification (preferred but not essential).Experience with maintaining and administering health, safety, and wellbeing systems. As well as demonstrating knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.Proven experience in administration, time management and organisation skills.Experience in managing processes and equipment within an office environment.Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer competency.Have a current driver’s licence and the right to live and work permanently in New Zealand.APPLY NOW!
