We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of ESOL to join our languages team to support students where English is not their first language. You will work with students ranging from Foundation stage to Level 4 English Language Learners. Experience with the ELLPs (English Language Learning Progressions) and assessing NCEA Achievement Standards is an advantage. You would be joining a Languages Learning Area with seven colleagues who teach French, Spanish, Samoan, Chinese and ESOL.
Te reo is in the Te Ao Māori Learning Area.
Please note we are also advertising for a part time fixed term English teacher. You would be familiar with the English curriculum which is taught to proficient speakers of English, focusing on how students make meaning from and create meaning in written, oral, and visual texts. We would be open to an application for both positions.
