Key Areas of Responsibility and Tasks

  • The Corporate Account Executive focuses on complex sales engagements (mainly partner-driven) in the Midmarket segment. The AE may be specialized by industry or solution based on the MU-market and works with Solution Sales Specialists (SSEs), Partner Business Managers (PBMs) and Inside Sales Executives (ISEs).
  • Opens and manages opportunities in partner- / SAP-accounts above a defined revenue threshold; coaches partner-sales teams to build a productive pipeline and maximize revenue through active engagement on selected opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Industry Specialized Sales – Align with PBMs on Partner Business Planning; identify growth opportunities; monitor and review business development activities around the solution- or industry-specialization area; define innovative approaches to generate business and drive KPI achievement.
  • Coach partner sales reps to engage prospects in large or complex software deals, position value with ROI, business case development, references, and analyst data; ensure high pipeline-to-deal conversion and improve win rate; stay informed on competition.
  • Drive deal closure by participating in large, complex partner opportunities; balance direct and indirect activities to maximize territory revenue.
  • Enable Partners – Provide resources including a partner demand generation plan, partner competency plan, partner resource utilization plan, and presales coaching plan for existing and new partners.
  • Collaborate with Indirect Channel Management and Inside Sales; monitor use of SAP assets by partners; report on sales progress and address deviations from plans.
  • Experience & Language Requirements

  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in SAAS sales
  • Profound knowledge in one or more solution areas (e.g., LoB, Mobility, In-Memory, ByDesign, BA&T, B One, BAiO, Cloud) or in a specific industry
  • Experience with multi-channel go-to-market models
  • Understanding of solution & cloud selling through partners
  • Knowledge of indirect channel dynamics and cloud ERP market; SAAS sales credentials
  • Local SG market knowledge; willingness to travel up to 10%
