We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Enliven care home in Balclutha, South Otago.
This position is based in Balclutha, which offers affordable housing, caters to a wide range of outdoor activities, and has close proximity to Dunedin and Central Otago.
About the role
As a Registered Nurse at Enliven, we create elder-centered communities where older people have companionship, meaningful activity, purpose, and fun in their lives.
As a Registered Nurse at Presbyterian Support Otago, you will lead a shift of Care Workers and Enrolled Nurses to provide comprehensive healthcare to residents in a way that promotes independence and quality of life.
You will develop, implement, and evaluate an integrated plan of health care as well as perform general nursing functions.
You will need sound nursing knowledge including an awareness of legislation.
You will have the ability to make clinical decisions that are in the best interests of the residents' wellbeing and safety.
Your relationships with residents and families will be built on trust, respect, and valuing the contribution they make to the home.
Hours : This is a permanent Part time position; 64 hours per fortnight as rostered with a variety of shifts and days, typically 4 shifts per week.

About You
Be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate
Have good clinical, communication, and leadership skills
Have good time management and problem-solving skills, and an ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Be experienced in undertaking interRai assessment
Empathy, compassion, and patience
The ability to work well within a team
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Reasonable fitness and strength
Experience in the care of older people is preferred, but not essential
