We are looking for a Senior Systems and Network Engineer (permanent full-time) to join our team in Glenavy office as a technical leader, responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of our IT infrastructure across systems and networking.
This senior role offers the opportunity to shape a secure, efficient, and high-performing IT environment while serving as the onsite technical escalation point in Glenavy for major issues.
You will lead onsite technical resources, ensuring rapid resolution of incidents and seamless delivery of support.
ResponsibilitiesLeading the design, deployment, and optimisation of IT infrastructure across servers, networking, and security.Acting as one of the Glenavy onsite escalation point for complex technical issues, coordinating resolutions effectively.Delivering daily engineering services to ensure 24 / 7 reliability and performance of systems and networks.Collaborating with teams across departments to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and implement best practices.Staying current with IT trends to drive future-proofing and continuous improvement initiatives.Operating in line with global responsibilities, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Additional OT experience is not required but would be a huge benefit to any candidate
Skills And ExperienceWe are seeking candidates with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (a master's degree is preferred) or equivalent experience.
You will bring proven experience as a systems engineer or in a similar IT role, with senior-level expertise in server management, networking, and IT security.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to resolve technical escalations and lead onsite resources, along with strong skills in performance optimisation and infrastructure resilience.
A proactive mindset, coupled with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, is essential.
