About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialty ClinicalNurse – Clinical Coach to join our nursing team, which includes RegisteredNurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners.

As a Clinical Coach you will be part of the nursingleadership team and emergency education team.

You will provide support and coaching to nursing staff ofall levels, deliver in house education and assist in the assessment, planningand implementation of nursing care.

Through an interactive and collaborative approach, you willengage one on one with the emergency nurses, assisting them in the attainmentof new knowledge and skills, and providing leadership and consultancy fornursing practice.

About the Service

The Christchurch Emergency Department (ED) based in Waipapais one of the busiest in Australasia, sees more than 146,000 patients per yearand services a population of 600,000.

It is a tier six level regional traumacentre and the sole Emergency Department in the city of Christchurch.

About you

You will enjoy working as partof a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal and organisationalskills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work well underpressure.

A minimum of 4 yearsclinical expertise in Emergency Nursing is essential.

Expertise in clinicalteaching and or coaching / mentoring

A post graduatequalification relevant to Emergency Nursing

Expert communication,problem solving, interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage peopleat all levels

Excellent timemanagement and organisation skills

Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a currentAnnual Practising Certificate (APC)
