About the roleThe Platform Brew bar' is seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our close-knit team in Kaiapoi, Canterbury.

As our Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a diverse range of delicious meals for our busy cafe and bar.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for career progression.What you'll be doingPreparing and cooking a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner dishesEnsuring all food is prepared to the highest standard of quality and presentationManaging kitchen operations, including stock control, food ordering and budgetingMaintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment that meets all health and safety standardsCollaborating with the management team to develop new menu items and specialsProviding guidance and support to kitchen staff to help them develop their skillsWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced cafe, restaurant or bar environmentStrong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating delicious, high-quality mealsExcellent time management and multitasking abilities to handle the demands of a busy kitchenA keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygieneExcellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the wider staffA creative flair and willingness to contribute to menu development and innovationWhat we offerAt The Platform Brew bar', we are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive work environment for our team.
