In this hands-on role, you'll complete flooring projects across a diverse range of public sector sites—delivering high-quality installations, repairs, and finishes across various flooring types.You'll work both independently and as part of a wider team alongside carpenters, painters, and project managers, contributing to renovation and maintenance projects with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall vinyl, carpet, timber, tile, and laminate flooringPrepare surfaces, level floors, and install underlayCarry out flooring repairs, patching, and replacementsDeliver high-quality finishes that meet safety and spec standardsCollaborate with other trades across project deliveryComplete documentation, job records, and client handoversWhat You'll BringProven experience in residential and / or commercial flooringStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualitySolid knowledge of flooring tools, adhesives, and finishesAbility to read floor plans and follow installation specsFull (Class 1) New Zealand Driver LicenceStrong work ethic, communication skills, and team mindsetWhat We're OfferingCompetitive wages, reviewed annuallyOngoing training and internal upskilling pathwaysPaid Volunteer days, and flu vaccinationsEmployee recognition programs and referral bonusesSupportive, inclusive, and growth-focused team cultureWhy Join BGIS?
