The Role

As Senior Accounting Lead of this innovative team, you’ll be responsible for managing the monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial results, and providing meaningful insights that support strong business performance. You’ll lead a team of accountants, working collaboratively across business functions and with external partners to maintain robust financial controls, improve processes, and support key initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing month-end and year-end processes.
  • Overseeing general ledger activity, lease accounting, compliance, and statutory reporting.
  • Providing technical accounting support and advice on business or regulatory changes.
  • Leading and developing a team of accountants, supporting capability development and team engagement.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external providers to ensure timely delivery and resolution of issues.
  • Supporting business-wide projects with financial insights and structured problem-solving.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.

Your Profile

  • A professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in a large enterprise and Big 4 trained.
  • Experience with large group consolidation work.
  • Expertise in financial and management reporting, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. SAP, MYOB, Xero).
  • Proven leadership skills and experience developing high-performing teams.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to partner across business functions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
