About the Business :

The Salvation Army Health Service is the first of its kind for the Salvation Army, serving as a central location for medical assistance and assessment for our vulnerable community members, particularly those accessing support through our housing at Epsom Lodge and our Bridge programme (drug and alcohol rehabilitation).

About the Role :

The medical receptionist plays a vital role in the daily operations of our clinics.

Reporting to the Practice Manager / Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for all patients entering our clinic.

Responsibilities include :

Coordinating front desk duties, including handling telephone inquiries, appointments, and payments.

Booking appointments using the 'Profile' Practice Management System.

Managing and recording data on patient visits, invoicing, and ACC claims.

Multitasking and prioritising in a busy environment while maintaining a calm, friendly, and professional demeanor, and providing excellent customer service.

Addressing patient queries via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

Processing payments and completing medical insurance forms.

Thriving in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Having a full driver's license and own transport is desirable.

Performing other general tasks as required.

Ideal Candidate :

Minimum of 2 years' experience as a medical receptionist in a GP clinic.

Ability to multitask and problem-solve efficiently.

Highly motivated and enthusiastic about helping those in need.

Possessing a can-do attitude and problem-solving skills.

Non-judgmental and accepting of people from all backgrounds.

Experience with Medtech Evolution is desirable.

Hours of Work : 24 hours per week, Tuesday to Thursday, from 9 : 30 am to 6 : 00 pm.

Salary Range : $50,000 to $60,000 per annum.
