- Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us
- We’re a small, effective team within the Colleague Digital domain, providing modern tools to bankers that enable them to serve our customers brilliantly. In our work to replace legacy systems, we create modern interfaces that make our colleagues’ lives easier.
- Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
- We sat down with the People Leader (who you’ll report to) and they told us the following about the role :
- Maintain a backlog of user stories and facilitate refinement sessions, ensuring there is enough runway for our fast-paced team.
- Collate and document business and technical requirements, acting as an interpreter between business outcomes, user needs, and technical possibilities.
- Build trusting relationships with stakeholders across the business and technology teams.
- Use exceptional research, data analysis and decision-making skills to assist in prioritisation and delivery of a wide range of enhancements and bug fixes through to implementation.
- Analyse change impact across people, processes, and systems to support planning, prioritisation and implementation of new functionality. We’re one of a handful of teams working on the delivery of a banker-facing system and its ongoing production support. We’re an agile, cross-functional team, we split our work into small items of value and use our internal metrics and customer feedback to inform our roadmap and priorities. We’re part of one of the most prominent programs at the bank, providing a new interface for creating and maintaining Term Deposits. We’re also working on replacing a legacy system that the bankers use, not just like for like, but improving and automating their workflows where possible. Highly collaborative and consultative – I set the direction of our work, but value your input and feedback, and support my team in being able to work independently. We will also work together on tasks and projects from time to time. You will have experience engaging effectively with different teams / stakeholders as well as presenting and communicating information to a variety of audiences. You will be quick to pick up and learn new systems and have the ability to understand technical documentation and API specs.Because we work in a fast-paced environment you’ll need to be able to prioritise effectively and be comfortable asking for help when needed. We are seeking a team player, someone who will thrive from working with other Business Analysts and stakeholders.
