With some of our Ferrymead team moving across to support the exciting launch of our New Prestons store, we now have full-time opportunities available for passionate, customer-focused individuals to join our Indoor Garden and Outdoor Garden departments.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing friendly, knowledgeable service and advice to customers

Supporting customers with their garden projects, from houseplants to landscaping

Keeping stock well-presented, replenished, and easy to shop

Building product knowledge to help customers find the right solutions

Working as part of a busy, supportive retail team

Department-Specific Highlights

In Outdoor Garden, you'll be working with :

Living plants, shrubs, and seasonal flowers

Potting mixes, composts, and soil conditioners

Garden pots, raised beds, and outdoor growing solutions

Advising on plant care, placement, and seasonal gardening tips

In Indoor Garden, you'll be assisting with :

Garden powertools like hedge trimmers, line trimmers, and leaf blowers

Irrigation systems, hoses, and watering solutions

Fertilisers, pest control, and garden maintenance products

Hand tools such as pruners, loppers, and trowels

What We're Looking For

A positive attitude and genuine passion for customer service

Great communication skills and a willingness to learn

Interest in gardening, plants, or garden care products

Reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach

Previous retail or garden centre experience is a bonus – but not essential

Legal right to work in New Zealand
